Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to have this special issue on “Male Infertility” with the Journal of Men’s Health. This special issue aims to provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date information on various important aspects surrounding male factor infertility.

Male factor infertility can be a contributing factor in nearly 50% of cases with large proportion idiopathic in nature. As such, much work is required to identify potential etiologies. This special issue aims to investigate the role of advanced sperm DNA testing in the evaluation of the infertile male, the use of novel microscopic techniques and methods to improve diagnostic yield of sperm from men with non-obstructive azoospermia. Further, we wish to investigate whether there truly is a global decline in semen parameters.

Aim and Scope of the Special Issue:

  • Global decline in semen parameters
  • The role of DNA fragmentation in the evaluation of the infertile male
  • Nutritional supplementation as a treatment for male factor infertility
  • Methods to improve diagnostic yield of sperm for IVF/ICSI in men with non-obstructive azoospermia
  • The use of novel microscopic technology to improve male infertility outcomes
